Excellent civic amenities and accessibility, in the village there is a bus and train station, primary and kindergarten, municipal office, post office, health center, gas station, grocery stores, restaurants, pastry shop, sports field and playground. Nižbor is located 7 km from the district town of Beroun with a wide range of shops, as well as cultural and social activities. The outskirts of Prague Zličín is a 25-minute drive along the D5 motorway, the center of the metropolis 45 minutes. In Zličín you will find bus connections to Prague Integrated Transport, a metro station, Ikea and the Metropole Zličín shopping center with a cinema, restaurants and a number of shops.

The village of Nižbor with a rich historical past is a popular place for tourists. The beautiful environment of the Křivoklát forests and the Berounka river basin, which flows through the village, attracts to walking and cycling trips. Directly in the village there is a castle with an exhibition of Celtic culture. On the adjacent hill Hradiště are the remains of a Celtic town, where gold Celtic coins were found in the second half of the 19th century.
